LOL Carol! Your blog looks nice, you even have a nice background! Mine is just ugly black. I was completely confused too. I have a translator thingy on my blog and if you click on it, it will take you to where you can add it to your own blog - I think it's pretty self-explanatory, but if you need help, let me know. I can walk through adding links too if you want.
I have no idea how I managed to add a translator thingy to my blog but I did it. LOLThe silly thing won't allow me to add a click on link though. I am afraid if I try to fix it I will loose my blog entirely. Catherine <---hopeless with computers!
Tried following instructions and just got the add a widget and not the translation.Oh dear!Loads of peeople do it-it can't be that difficult, can it?
Carol,To add a translator go to this link:-http://translate.google.com/translate_tools copy the code in the box, come back to your blog and go to the customise button on the top right hand side click on that and it will take you over to the main blog page. You will see on the screen add a gadget. Click on that and another screen will pop up with all the gadgets. Click on the one that say's HTML/Java script. In the big box paste the code and save. once it is on your main blog page you can drag and drop it where you want it, but always remember to press save. Any problems Carol, email me. My email address is on my profile page and I'll do my best to help..P.S. Hope your feeling better x
Thankyou!I followed instructions and did it but I got flags,I thought that I was getting a drop down box? So,deleted the flags.I would have preferred the drop down box which it showed on the link. Not sure what to do next.Carolx
Fiver, have just got the translator ,more by accident than anything! After all that trying I finally got there.Thankyou too to Debbie.Carolx
Carol, they've obviously updated the translator since I added it to my blog..x
Its ok Debbie,it did in fact show one with a drop down box on the link. With your help I finally got to know how to add a page element at last-I had tried for hours yesterday! As I love crystals and gemstones I was able to then add the crystal clock to my blog. The next step to tackle is how to add a clickable link to my Etsy shop and AIM! Carolx
I am sure that a few more weeks and I will be a "pro blogger"I love your blog and your workMini hugs from PortugalAna
Hey Carol, you have a really pretty background! Now if you can do that, you are almost a professional :). Use the "Add Link List" gadget which is really very simple. If you want to use an image , then just use "Add Picture" and when you type in the URL of your etsy shop, it will click through to your etsy.
Thankyou Sans,I successfully added the link to my Etsy shop but when I tested it,my Norton Internet security refused to let me open it.Etsy is a safe site so I don't know what the problem is.Carol:)
Carol, I just tried clicking. You may have a typo-error in your url. Try http://www.etsy.com/shop/STARSGEMINI3because the link brought me to http://http//www.etsy.com/shop/STARSGEMINI3with 2 http://
I did it!A big thankyou Sans!Carolx
Carol to add pictures with a link. Do what you did for the translator, but instead click on the picture gadget button. You can then upload a picture from your computer or the web and a direct link to the site you want. xxx
Well donesky! :)
I think I am getting there Debbie!x
Carol!!!! You did it, you did it!!!! Hooray!!!
Lol Fiver xx
